Kmart is doubling again!

Kmart is doubling coupons again this week! Vanessa snagged some great deals on shave cream, paper plates and cereal. The best thing to do is take your coupons and walk the isles. Have your hubbies watch the kiddies and have some me time while you save some money! Happy shopping!

Publix list.

Another short week at Publix. Now that I'm stocked up on a lot of stuff I'm pickier on what I buy.

Pop Secret SS 6/14
Hunts Tomato Sauce - No coupon, but at B1G1 it's a good price!
Pillsbury Refrigerated Bread Products SS 5/31 (Biscuits are $1.00 each at Walmart)
NY Garlic Bread SS 5/17
Band-aids - Great deal if you have the Green Advantage Buy Flyer and inserts from SS 6/28 and RP 5/17. I got 3 boxes of bandaids for .07, this deal also includes Neosporin and Benadryl cream so I got a couple of each of those for a good price.
Glad trash bags - get both of the printables from southern savers and a box is only 1.69.

I'm going to look through the store flyers I got in the paper today and see if there are any other deals for this week. I'll let you know if I find any!

I'm back!

Sorry I didn't post a shopping list this week, but I do have some tips and a few good deals to share!

Target - Check out Lindsey's blog http://theoodies.blogspot.com/ for details on how to get .04 body wash!!! Also, Finish Power Tabs are on sale for 3.49 (which beats CVS's sale price of 3.99) and there is a $2.50 off coupon in SS 7/12 (the paper that just came out!), which makes them .99 each!

Food Lion - Want cheap bananas? Food lion puts their slightly browning bananas on sale for .19/lb! The bunches that are on sale will have black tape around them. I got almost 5 lbs for less than a dollar! Most of the bananas I got had one little spot of brown on them. I did grab one bunch that was really brown because when I saw them I thought, "Those will be perfect for banana bread!" In my house bananas never last long enough to make bread out of them unless I hide some!

Publix - Next time your making a list for Publix make a note to check out their clearance items! The clearance stuff will either be on a table or in a shopping cart. The store on Beville and Clyde Morris has a clearance table next to the register that is closest to the bakery, and the store on Ridgewood has a clearance cart next to the produce section. I've gotten diapers for $5.50 (it was a couple of months ago, in case your wondering why I didn't share!). Two weeks ago I got formula that was clearance plus I had a coupon to match! It's worth looking for next time your in Publix!

CVS - Recently I have left CVS very frustrated. I take my time at home to figure out how to get the most stuff with the least out of pocket, I write my very specific list which consists of 3-4 different transactions, exactly what to buy and what ECB's to use in each transaction, and how much I'll have to pay (excluding tax). Then I get to CVS and they NEVER have everything on my list! This completely screws up my plan because I only have ECBs to pay for the first transaction, the rest are counting on the ECBs I'm going to earn. It would be fine if they at least had all the items for my first transaction, I could buy those and then come back another day or go to a different store, but that never happens! Plus I want to get all my shopping done the first time I go, and I don't really feel like driving to another store! Then there are the Sunday/Monday only deals. Well I can't go shopping on Sunday, but everyone else seems to and by the time I get there Monday morning everything is gone! Then my boss mentioned she had gotten a rain check at CVS. I don't know why I never thought of that before, I get rain checks from the grocery store all the time but I never thought to ask at CVS. Now my days of frustration with CVS never having what I want are gone! My new plan is to wait until the last day of the ECB deal when everything will be gone and just ask for rain checks for the items on my list. Then I can go back a week or two later and successfully complete my list in one trip! I currently have 3 rain checks from CVS and it specifically says that they NEVER expire and they are good at any CVS location! Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was experiencing similar frustrations!

Happy shopping ladies!

A couple of other deals...

Food Lion

Hot Shot is on sale for 2.49
-1.50/1 SS 6/7

Purex $5.00
-.35/1 SS 6/14

Suave Shampoo & Conditioner 3 for $4.00
-$1.00/2 RP 5/17

Kmart is doubling coupons this week!!!

Thanks to Vanessa for the heads up on this one! If you go to Kmart this week they will double your coupons up to $2.00, so if you have any coupons that are already worth more than $2.00 those won't double. The Kmart ad says you have to spend a minimum of $25 in order for your coupons to double, but I only had $6.00 worth of merchandise and the register doubled my coupons! I got an awesome deal on Cheerios tonight! The Cheerios are on sale 4 for $6.00 and there are -$1.00 wyb 2 boxes of Cheerios coupons in SS 6/28 (I think that's the right insert). I had four of these coupons and thought my total would be $4.00 for 4 boxes, but the register doubled my coupons and my total was $2.00! The ad also says if you buy more than 4 boxes the price changes to 4 for $10. I bought 8 boxes, so I asked the cashier to ring them up separately (4 at a time) to get the $6.00 sale price. It worked and I got 8 boxes of Cheerios for only $4.00!!! I REALLY don't need cereal right now, but I couldn't pass on such a good price! FYI: Kmart will not give out rain checks this week, and they are not restocking their shelves while the double coupon deal is going on, so go soon! Also, Vanessa told me that Kmart's prices are higher than Walmart so not everything is a good deal, even with doubled coupons.

I may go back for one more deal: Cheerios snack mix 2 for $5.00 -.50/1 SS 6/14, doubled it would be 2 for $3.00.

Kraft Mayo B1G1 + .75/1 SS 6/21
Smuckers Toppings - On sale for 1.50 + .55/1 RP 5/17
Cool Whip (frozen) B1G1 + printable $1/2

That's it! My grocery bill should be pretty low this week! Let us know if there is anything else you're getting!

Thanks Vanessa for letting us know about this deal!

More Publix Deals!!!

Here are some more Publix deals that Diana found! Looks like I'll be making one more trip there this week!

Food Lion just came out with a new coupon for $2/$5 produce purchase. You can use this coupon at Publix until the end of the month. Just go here and print the coupon:$2/$5 Produce coupon

Free or Cheap Reach Floss/Toothbrushes at Publix
In the new Smart Summertime Savings booklets, there is a store coupon for $1 off Reach floss or toothbrush. Stack that with the $2 off Reach toothbrush coupon or the $1 off Reach floss coupon from the 6/14 Smart Source and it will either be free or super cheap.

Cheap or Free Raid or Off at Publix
There is a $2 off any Raid or Off Product store coupon in the yellow advantage buy flier (All American Savings) and there is a $2 off any Raid or Off Product manuf coupon in the Smart Summertime Savings flier. The Raid ant spray is under $4 so that will be free with some slight overage!!!

Cheap Pepperidge Farms
Pepperidge Farm Bread is $2 and there is a 75 cent Target coupon and a 55 cent manuf coupon in the 5/17 Smart Source inserts. That makes them only 70 cents a pack!

GE Energy Smart Light Bulbs
These are from iheartpublix:

Use the store coupon in the weekly ad plus a manuf coupon.

Store coupon is for $2.50 Off GE Energy Smart Compact Fluorescent Lighting Product, Assorted Varieties, 1 to 6-ct pkg **IT DOES SAY LIMIT ONE DEAL PER CUSTOMER!

Manuf coupons are:
-$1 off in the 4/19 Smart Source insert
-$1 off in the April All You magazine
-$1 off PRINTABLE

These prices are GA prices but this gives you an idea:
13 watt- $2.95
20 watt-$3.59
26 watt-$4.89

So you could get some overage on the 13 watt, pay 9 cents on the 20 watt, or pay $1.39 for a 26 watt.

I may need a bigger pantry soon!

I was able to print the remaining coupons I needed this morning and decided to go to Publix this afternoon. I saved twice as much as I spent! I spent a little over half my weekly grocery budget and saved $131.93!!! I'm not going to list everything I got, but here are some of the highlights!

-Kraft BBQ Sauce was listed on southern savers at 1.49, but it was actually 1.29! So with (2) .75 off coupons it was free plus .21 overage!

- Land O Lakes butter spread was listed at 1.89, but it turned out to be 2.19. Using (2) .55 off coupons it cost 1.09 for 2, not as low as I expected but still a good price!

- Velvetta Shells & Cheese is B1G1, but that is for a specific kind that has mixed veggies in it and costs 5.39. However, at the front of the store Publix has baskets that are filled with sale items. There you can find the regular boxes of Velvetta on sale for 1.49 each. I had (2) 1.oo off coupons and got them for .49 each! A better deal than I expected!

-If you read my shopping list, the yogurt deal was awesome! I bought the 4 yoplait yogurts for .75 each and used (4) 1.00 off coupons, so I got the yogurt for free plus another 1.oo off my granola bars! It made the granola bars 1.40 a box.

- The Birds Eye Frozen veggies were a good deal too! They are on sale 50% off and the coupon is 1.00/2. I got two different kinds and the sale price (1.19 & .89) with the coupon made them 1.08 for 2 bags! However, the blinkie with that coupon in it is gone. Hopefully you grabbed a couple last week! I have noticed that the blinkies are never out for the items that are on sale, so I get coupons from them whenever I see them!

- The Bertolli dinners were a pretty good deal. They are originally 7.99, but are on sale for 4.99. RP was suppose to have a 1.25 off coupon, but it ended up being 1.00 off. I still picked up 2 bags for 3.99 each.

- French's Worcestershire sauce is on sale for 1.50 and there is a .50/1 SS 5/10. This was a need to buy item for me and I didn't know it was on sale so I only took one of my three coupons, but now I'm going back to get 2 more bottles!

Here is what my rapidly filling pantry looks like!

I bought most of this cereal last week and wasn't planning on buying cereal again for a while, but I added 6 more boxes today! Who can pass on .09 a box!?!

Publix List

There are some really good deals at Publix this week! Remember: go to Southern Savers to get any printable coupons on my list. Also, keep in mind that I shop at the Publix on the corner of Beville and Clyde Morris. Here's what I'm getting:

B1G1
-Oscar Mayer Franks -$1.00/2 SS 6/21
-Kraft BBQ - FREE with -.75/1 SS 6/14
-Post Cereal - With the $2.00 printable coupon, you'll get 2 boxes for .19!!! I was able to print 3 coupons from one computer, and since we have 2 computers I got 6 coupons! So I'm buying 6 boxes for .57!!!
-Land O Lakes Butter Spread - Another printable that makes it .79 for 2. I printed 4 coupons from one computer.
-Kraft Velvetta - $1.00 printable. You can only print one per computer.
-Arm & Hammer toothpaste - I got 2 -$1.00 printables from one computer.
-Kotex Liners - I have a B1G1 coupon that Publix sent me because I'm in the baby club. You can combine a B1G1 sale with a B1G1 coupon and get 3 for free!

Other Deals
-Sara Lee Desserts are 50% off and there are -$1.00 coupons in RP 6/7. Last time this combo made the Bites .99 each and the Simply Sweets .69 each.
-Birds Eye veggies are also 50% off and last week there was a blinkie that had -$1.00/2. I'm not sure if the blinkie is still there, but it's worth checking out!
-Bertolli Skillet Dinners are $4.99 -$1.25 RP 6/7
-Nature Valley Granola Bars are on sale for $2.00 each. There is a -.75/2 SS 5/31. If you buy the granola bars you can also get -$1.00 yoplait yogurt from SS 6/14. You can use one yogurt coupon for every box of granola bars you buy. The yogurt coupon does not say you have to buy a specific number of yogurts so here is my plan: Buy 4 boxes granola bars, 4 single yogurts (which are less than $1.00 each), use 2 .75/2 granola coupons and 4 $1.00 off yogurt coupons. This should make the yogurt free plus overage! I'll let you know if this works!
-Hamburger Helper isn't on sale but I have a coupon for .75/3 SS 5/31 AND coupons for $1.00 off ground beef wyb Hamburger Helper SS 6/14. So I'm going to buy 3 boxes of Hamburger Helper and get $3.00 off 3 packages ground beef.
-I'm also going to use my rain check for Bic Razors that I got last week and get 8 packs for .75 each!

-One A Day vitamins are on sale for $6.99 - My dad gets these for cost at his work so I'm all stocked up! If anyone wants my coupons (-$2.00 SS 6/14) for these just let me know!

That's it! If there is anything your getting that I'm not please leave a comment so everyone else will know! I'm probably not going shopping until tomorrow, but I'll post my results once I do!

Playdate!

So this post is not coupon related, but I figure since most people are checking it I would announce a playdate here! We are swimming Friday @ 10:30 (at my house) for anyone who wants to come!

CVS and Walgreens lists.

CVS

I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing this week because I don't know prices for some things, but here is my plan going to CVS. It could change once I get there!

Transaction #1

3 Aveeno Sunscreen 9.00 each
(3) -1.50 coupons RP 5/17
- 10 ECB
Total: 12.50
Get back: 10 ECB

#2

Thermacare wrap -1.50 coupon
Tampax Pearl - .50/1 PG 6/7
Tylenol -2.00 RP 5/17
- 10 ECB
Total: .49
Get back: 8.49 ECB

#3 - This is the one I'm not sure about since I don't know prices for the make-up.

Loreal -2.00 coupon (should be in last Sunday's paper)
Revlon B1G1 - I have a couple of 1.00 off coupons
Herbal Essence shampoo -.50/1 PG 5/17
5 Always Infinity Pads -4.00 PG 6/7
I'm not sure what the total will be, but I plan on using my 8.49 from #2, and I will get 4 ECB back for next week.

Walgreens

This is not a very exciting week as far as RR go, but there are a couple of good deals. I only have one transaction this week.

- Edge Shave gel 1.99 (you need the in ad coupon to get that price) - .75/1 SS 5/17

- Band-Aids 2 for $3 - (2) .50/1 RP 5/17

- I have a bunch of Dove coupons from PG 6/7 so I may do the RR deal with those, depending on how much they cost. The Dove RR deal was posted on southern savers, but it wasn't in the Walgreens ad, so we'll see.

- I don't buy much make-up, but I have a bunch of coupons for Cover Girl, Max Factor and Loreal. If anyone would like some just leave a comment and let me know. I'd rather give them away than throw them away!

I should get an award!

That's what the cashier said to me after she told me how much I saved today at Publix! This is my highest savings so far! I saved $153.02!!! Here is the breakdown:

Coupon savings: $43.35
Advertised Specials: $109.67

For anyone who is interested, here is what I got:

3 Birds Eye Meals for 2 - This was a deal I didn't expect, I had coupons for it that expire this week so I brought them as a maybe purchase. Normally the bags are 6.99 each, but this particular kind (sweet and spicy chicken) was on clearance for 2.99. Since my coupon was for 1.50 off I decided to give them a try! I wish I could remember which insert I got the coupons from, but it would be worth looking to see if you have them!

2 Ben & Jerry's Ice cream - I didn't have any coupons for this one, but it was B1G1 so I decided to get it anyway.

4 Starbucks Ice Cream - All FREE!!! Plus another .42 off my bill!

2 Ocean Spray Craisins - Another no coupon purchase, but everyone in my family loves them and they were also B1G1.

4 Edwards Single Pies

2 Fisher Fusion Snack Mix - I was really bummed I didn't have the coupons for this because then it would have been free, but it was only 1.79 and they sound really good!

4 packs Bic Razors - I have enough coupons to get 8 more packs, but they were all out so I got a rain check for them. This is an awesome deal because they are 5.49 a pack, but with B1G1 and coupons they come to .74 each!

3 packs Solo Plates - On sale + coupons = 1.00 each!

8 Four packs of Yoplus yogurt

2 boxes Honey Maid Graham Crackers

1 Planters Mixed Nuts

1 box Gerber baby cereal - No coupons, this was a need to get item.

4 Old El Paso Dinner kits

4 packages Ground Beef

16 boxes of General Mills Cereal - I won't need to buy cereal for a couple of months!

4 bottles Lysol Bathroom Cleaner

1 lb of Tilapia

2 lbs of Bananas

Leave comments and let us know how much your saving!

A couple of good deals...

Here are two for now, but check back later because I may have some more after Diana's trip to Walmart!

- At CVS the Always Infinity Pads are ringing up at 4.99 and there is a $4.00 off coupon in PG 6/7.

- Walmart has tubs of Country Crock on sale for $2.00 and there is a .50/1 and .25/1 in RP 5/17.

Publix

Here is my list for Publix this week, I'm going shopping tonight so I'll post my total savings later!
Because the Southern Savers sight is copy righted, I can't copy and paste from it (it specifically asks you not to!). I'm going to list what I'm buying and where the coupon can be found, if you want to know prices or get any printable coupons you'll have to refer to southern savers.

Buy one get one deals:

Yoplait Yo-Plus or Fiber One Yogurt 4 pk - SS 6/07 OR printable.

General Mills Cereals: Lucky Charms, Cookie Crisp, Kix, Reese’s Puffs, Golden Grahams or Cinnamon Toast Crunch -Several printable coupons AND SS 5/31. I'm using the coupons from 5/31 plus I printed 2 for Reese's Puffs and 1 for Lucky Charms. Combining the two coupons makes the cereal 1.60 a box!

Kellogg’s Frosted or Unfrosted Mini Wheats 18 oz -Only printable.

Old El Paso Dinner Kits -Great Publix coupon in SS 6/14. If you get 4 Sunday papers you can use all 4 of these coupons. I'm buying 4 dinner kits and 2 things of ground beef.

Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams -Only printable.

Starbucks Ice Cream 16 oz -Free plus overage in SS 6/21!

Edwards Single Pies - SS 6/14.

Bic Razors - SS 6/7 This is an awesome deal! With coupons they come out to .75 each!

Right Guard - SS 5/17.

Lysol Bathroom Cleaner - SS 6/7, this same add came out a couple of weeks ago too, but I can't remember the exact date.

Other good deals (these items are on sale):

Planters nuts - Only printable
Crisco Canola Oil - RP 5/17 or 6/7 (sorry I can't remember which stack I got mine from!).
Solo Paper Plates - Once again I forget which stack I pulled this one from, but it's for 1.00 off.

Introduction...

Hi ladies! First I want to give credit to Diana for coming up with the idea for this blog. She asked me if I would post my shopping list each week so everyone can see which coupons are available in our area (since the inserts are regional). I would like to take this blog one step further. Last night Diana called me to tell me about a deal she discovered at CVS that was not advertised (if you use pads and you have the P&G insert from 6/7 you can get a box of Always Pads for .99! I'll post the full details in the next post!), then Jennifer sent me a message about a hidden freebie at Publix. This got me thinking that we need a place to post these finds so we can all benefit. So here is what I'm asking for, if anyone finds a good deal call or email me and I will post about it. Also, since we all buy different things from the grocery store, when I post my shopping lists if there are things you have on your list that I don't please leave a comment with your extras. I think if we work together we'll never miss a deal again! Let the savings begin!
